5 New Ways to Use Pumpkin Pie Spice

With cooling temperatures, we start to think of fall flavors, colors, and textures. And Pumpkin Pie Spice Blend fits right in. It is amazing how may ways you can spice up your autumn cooking with this versatile blend. We love it on pumpkin and other winter squashes, in apple pie, or with roasted carrots and onions, but try it also with these 5 new ideas:

Roasted Squash Soup
A yummy pureed soup that is finished with sauteed pears. Adding Pumpkin Pie Spice accentuates the comfort of this fall-time bowl of warmth. Click here for the recipe.

Pork Tenderloin
Blend some pumpkin pie spice with olive oil and rub onto a pork tenderloin. Pan-fry the tenderloin as you would a steak or broil about 4 inches from the heating element.

Potato Pancakes
Potato pancakes are quick to throw together. Mix grated potatoes, minced onion, egg, sea salt, and some pumpkin pie spice. Saute in oil in a hot pan until well browned and crisp on the edges.

Mix pumpkin pie spice into melted butter (or olive oil) and toss with warm popcorn.

Quiche Lorraine
Add a good teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice to the custard mixture when making Quiche Lorraine.
