st_newengland250.jpgPure Atlantic Ocean sea salt is slowly smoked above a cherry wood fire. Our salt is 100% natural, wood smoked, with no artificial flavors or additives. This is a coarse salt with a mild crunch, and dry texture. This is not a moist or sticky smoked salt.

Suggested Uses: Spend some time in the kitchen with this smoked sea salt and use as a finishing salt on meats, poultry, seafood, eggs, rice, potatoes, vegetables, and fruit.     This is a very versatile salt. The hint of smoke just makes the underlying sweet/salt flavor that more delicious. It goes on everything, particularly any type of meat.

    I tried using this salt on my meat dishes for cooking, but found it to be better used as a finishing salt rather than used for prep cooking. A little goes a long way and a pinch is all you need to sprinkle on cooked meat, otherwise using to much may cause it to become too salty. The cherry smoked wood flavor is rather on the light side if you don't want an overwhelmingly smoked wood taste and interestingly good. I lightly spinkle some on my sandwiches when I need a little boost in flavor and it's especially good on grilled cheese. A good value for the price.

    I just love this product. It is just amazing. It is reasonably priced enough that it can be used several times a week and the flavor is just amazing. Now I am not a meat or fish eater. But on the rare occasions I cook fish for other people I just sprinkle a tiny amount (Like 1/4 teaspoon or so per filet) on a piece of Salmon (and nothing else), bake it in the over, and everyone is amazed at the flavor . . . if you are curious . . . just buy this stuff it is just amazing.

    Love the cherry wood smoked salt sprinkled on corn on the cob. Sprinkled on a lettuce and tomato sandwich - you'll think there is bacon on it! This stuff is addicting!
