Beautiful, hand-crafted finishing sea salt from the rugged shores of Marblehead, MA. The salt is made according to a 1,600 year old process perfected by the monks of Mount Athos. Each Marblehead salt harvest is made with a blend of sea water from 14 different locations across the cold, clear waters of Marblehead, just a few miles North of Boston. As the sea water goes through its evaporation process, it is constantly tested, then balanced with all the naturally occurring minerals from the seawaters at the different locations around Marblehead. Much like a fine blended Scotch, a Meritage wine, or a Pauillac Bordeaux the balance is arrived at with great care. Use this salt exclusively as a finishing salt, sprinkling on all foods before serving to enhance and enliven the flavors of a dish.
