Buckwheat honey pairs well with any strong cheese [especially blue varietal cheeses], with grapefruit [as a palate cleanser], over spicy chilli, mixed with butter and cornbread, oatmeal, or anything maple syrup would be used on. Buckwheat honey is a wonderful addition to traditional recipes when baking hearty breads or honey cake, and is excellent in barbecue sauce.
Accompanies steamed milk and elderflower teas well and is an intrinsic component to chicory coffee.
