South Carolina Flake Sea Salt
Homesteading on their urban-styled farm outside of Charlestown, SC, Rustin and Teresa Gooden have learned lessons in the value of keeping things small, slow, and simple. Their handcrafted sea salt from Bulls Bay Saltworks uses only the pristine water sourced locally from Cape Romain, a protected Class 1 Wliderness Area, given to only 156 locations in the US under the Clean Air Act. The salt is harvested using solar power and the flakes are grown in a non-reactive container leaving no metallic aftertaste. The Gooden's commitment to the environment ensures they will continue to be leaders in setting high standards for natural salt products.
