Vietnamese Black Peppercorns - Organic
We are excited to add a new peppercorn with its own unique flavor profile to our peppercorn family: Organically grown Vietnamese Peppercorns. These peppercorns are richly flavored with hints of herbs and fruit, along with that classic pepper heat.
Enjoy it on everything, but try it on simple dishes to get to know its flavors. Easy food like eggs, a sauteed fish fillet, roasted vegetables, a slice of pineapple or melon, bread and butter. The peppercorns are nice and zippy and will deliver good heat and complex flavor.
Vietnamese peppercorns are organically grown amidst coffee and chile pepper plants. These peppercorns come from a small farm in the Dak Lak province of Vietnam. The peppercorns remain on the vine to ripen longer to an orange-red hue (not the typical green, when most peppercorns are harvested). The peppercorns are then hand-picked and sun-dried. This extra ripening gives the pepper its lingering, intricate flavor.
For best flavor and potency when not using, keep peppercorns tightly closed in a cool, dark cupboard, away from direct heat or sunlight.
