I am often asked how I create a recipe; what is my source of inspiration. Much comes from shopping whether at a farmers market or the grocery store. Whatever the time of year, an ingredient will snatch my attention and trigger an idea. The color, smell, shape, and imagined taste send me running to the kitchen. I like to take classic dishes and change them or add a surprise. Sometimes I simply like to come up with my best version of a dish. One of my favorite ways to create a recipe is to put unexpected ingredients together and I always think about contrasting tastes and textures. Here are a few of my favorite recipes. There’s lots of room for experimentation. My hope is they will inspire a fresh idea of your own.
